' Product Overview '
Made in Texas The Larson Electronics TX-300-1X120V-5X12V-N4X portable transformer converts 120V single phase input voltage and steps it down to 12V single phase output voltage. This 20A transformer features one, 5-20 receptacle with weatherproof cover on the primary side and five, 12V cigarette plug sockets on the secondary side. The unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 120V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. When ordering this product, please select the preferred cord cap for the input plug below. The TX-300-1X120V-5X12V-N4X temporary portable stepdown transformer from Larson Electronics gives operators the ability to power their 120 volt and 12 volt equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect 120V AC line-in power via a 10` 16/3 line-in cord. Operators connect 120V equipment to one, 5-20 receptacle w/ weatherproof cover on the primary side. On the secondary side, operators connect to five, 12V cigarette plug sockets for their 12V equipment. The 10` 16/3 line-in cord brings 120V single phase power to the NEMA 4X 20-amp transformer and passes 120V power to one, 5-20 receptacle w/ weatherproof cover (located on the primary side), which can be used to power 110V AC equipment. The NEMA 4X 20-amp transformer converts 120V single phase power to 12V single phase and passes the current to the secondary side of the transformer. This secondary side contains five, 12V cigarette plug sockets for powering low voltage, 12V equipment. The housing on the TX-300-1X120V-5X12V-N4X is constructed from powder coated steel with a NEMA 4X enclosure rating. The angled base and low center of gravity ensure this low voltage transform does not tip over when in the field. The entire unit is powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistance and aesthetics. A top located adjustable carrying handle allows operators to carry this unit through the workspace.

Wiring/Power: This transformer is equipped with 10 feet of 16/3 line-in cord that is fitted with an industrial grade cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. Plug options include standard 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 110V wall outlets with ground, standard 6-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 220-240V wall outlets with ground, NEMA L5-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 125V twist lock outlets, NEMA L6-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 240V twist lock outlets, British BS1363 13 amp fused 3-blade plug for United Kingdom outlets, or a two pin 16 amp rated Schuko plug with ground contact and socket for European outlets up to 250V. Alternatively, we can provide flying leads with no plug for hard wire applications or for operators who prefer to wire in user provided cord caps. Please choose pigtail option below for flying leads with no plug. Certification: Larson Electronics is a UL 1640 panel shop and certified to build portable power distribution systems. All units are built in accordance to NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and certified to UL 1640. All equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against dirt, water, and ice. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X equipment can be equipped upon request. Application: This transformer is ideal for indoor or outdoor use and applications including but not limited to, construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits, and shipyard operations. These power distribution systems are popularly used in applications where external power sources are often necessary. We also offer class rated transformers for use within explosion proof and hazardous location environments.
