Authentic prewar Lionel O-gauge operating accessory. This is the classic No. 45N Automatic Gateman, featuring the green tin base, cream shanty with red roof, original cast-metal gateman figure, and metal “STOP LOOK & LISTEN” railroad crossing sign.

Function:
Originally operated using a Lionel 153C contactor. When activated, the gateman would swing out of the shanty and the light would illuminate. Electrical function is untested.
Condition:
Vintage, as-found condition with age-appropriate wear, paint loss, and patina. No repainting or restoration. See photos for exact condition.

1930s–early 1940s (pre-WWII)
