Stories We Shared is a hardback reading journal designed with parents and children in mind. It's a thoughtful way to record the shared literary journey that a family embarks on together.

Stories We Shared contains original line art from Jamin Still, an intro essay from Douglas Kaine McKelvey, and spaces to record title, author, and notes for several hundred books. Plus, this family book journal boasts a number of added features---like literary quotes peppered amongst the pages, and family reading "quest" activities---that will make it an even more useful and inspiring resource for families to enjoy together.

It's an ideal gift for new or expectant parents and for families who love to read together (or who want to start a shared reading adventure and encourage their children towards a love of stories and literature).

Douglas Kaine McKelvey grew up in East Texas and moved to Nashville in 1991 to participate in the early work of Charlie Peacock's Art House Foundation, an organization dedicated to a shared exploration of faith and the arts. In the years since, he has worked as an author, song lyricist, scriptwriter, and video director. He has penned more than 350 lyrics recorded by artists including Switchfoot, Kenny Rogers, Sanctus Real, and Jason Gray.

Illustrated books have kindled Jamin Still's imagination since he was small. As a child, he drew and wrote and dreamed, and the power of those things in his life never diminished. He went on to study painting, literature, and writing in college, and now he paints and writes for a living. He lives in a little stone house with his wife and young son in Wichita, Kansas.
