This unique dining room chair is vintage early 1940s lyre back which means it has a harp back which i have painted gold metallic. The word lyre refers to small U shaped musical instruments like a harp. The chair has been completely re- upholstered. I also put brand new fabric on the cushion. The wood was in good condition. I painted the wood a high gloss acrylic black paint. High gloss is easy to clean.
