Vintage solid silver 17" snake chain &superb genuine brown opal pendant

As an opal collector for decades, this is the best brown opal I’ve ever owned. It was set into silver in the early 1980s, and I can assure you it looks far more stunning in person than my photos can capture! The natural brown opal is filled with vibrant greens and even partially translucent, creating an almost cosmic appearance. I truly don’t want to part with it, but it deserves a home where it can be appreciated. The solid silver 17" thick snake chain alone is a valuable piece, and the unique pendant houses this incredible opal, measuring nearly 2 cm. The pendant is 2.5 cm long from the top of the large bale. The opal is full of greens and oranges, and its partial transparency makes it feel like you’re looking into space—truly marvellous! When I had it valued in the 80s, they told me it was a £900 opal, and I’ve never seen another like it. Weighing approximately 9.8 grams, this necklace is solid, substantial, and wonderfully unique.
